Grandma's Cinnamon Twists

Sweet sticky cinnamon-sugar

Softly sprinkled onto rich dough

Succulent, lusciously sublime

Harshly twisted, wrongly wrenched

Tightly shaped, truncated

Heated beyond bearing

Rescued, oven-released

Heaven’s aroma, adorned

Consumed, purpose achieved
